Summary

This website (war247.de) presents the game CityConflict: Global Wars. We have deliberately built it to collect as little data as possible:

  • No analytics or tracking tools, no advertising, no social media plugins.
  • All fonts, images, icons and the video are served from our own server – no data is sent to third parties such as Google when you visit.
  • There is no registration, no login and no forms.
  • A cookie is only set if you switch the language yourself.

We therefore only process the technically necessary server log files and any data you send us by e-mail.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

CuiveMedia – Dienstleistungen
Siriusstraße 2
12524 Berlin
Deutschland
E-Mail: info@cityconflict.com

We have not appointed a data protection officer as we are not legally required to do so. For any privacy questions, please contact us at info@cityconflict.com.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by: Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Deutschland. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the host pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR; the host processes data only on our instructions. More information: Hetzner privacy policy.

Each time you access our website, the web server automatically records the following data in server log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • requested page or file and amount of data transferred
  • HTTP status code (e.g. success or error)
  • previously visited page (referrer), if sent by your browser
  • browser type, browser version and operating system (user agent)

Purpose: delivering the website, ensuring stable operation and detecting and preventing attacks and abuse.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the technically error-free and secure provision of the website.

Retention: log files are deleted automatically after no more than 14 days. Data that must be kept for evidence purposes (e.g. in the event of a specific attack) is retained until the incident has been finally resolved.

Providing this data is technically necessary to visit the website. It is not combined with other data sources.

3. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

4. Language preference cookie

If you actively choose a language using the “DE / EN” switch, we store your choice in a cookie so that the website appears in that language on your next visit.

  • Name: cc_lang
  • Content: only the language code “de” or “en” – no identifier, no tracking
  • Lifetime: 1 year, unless you delete it earlier in your browser
  • Recipients: none – the cookie is only read by our website

Legal basis: storing the cookie is strictly necessary to provide the language setting you have explicitly requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 of the German TDDDG). The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is presenting the website in your language. Without an active language choice, no cookie is set; the language is then simply chosen based on your browser’s language setting without storing anything.

You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. The website remains fully usable.

5. Links to other services

Our website contains links to the game, the Google Play Store, our Discord server, Facebook and our forum. These services are not embedded in our pages. Only when you click a link do you leave our website and your browser connects to the respective provider, who then processes data (e.g. your IP address) under their own responsibility. Some of these providers also process data in the USA.

  • Google Play (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC): policies.google.com/privacy
  • Discord (Discord Netherlands B.V. / Discord Inc.): discord.com/privacy
  • Facebook (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited): facebook.com/privacy/policy

6. The game CityConflict

The game itself is provided at cityconflict.com and as an app. Data processing within the game (e.g. game account, in-app purchases, in-app analytics) is governed by the separate CityConflict privacy policy.

7. Contact by e-mail

If you contact us by e-mail, we process your e-mail address and the information in your message in order to answer your enquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).

Retention: we delete your enquiry once it has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) apply.

8. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

To exercise your rights, simply send an informal message to info@cityconflict.com.

Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany, www.datenschutz-berlin.de.

9. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.

10. Changes to this privacy policy

We update this privacy policy whenever the website or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
